Dr. Ashenbach has a PhD in English from The University of Oklahoma. Born in Ohio and a teacher since 2007, Kevin is a lover of great literature from Sophocles to Solzhenitsyn, as he cherishes the power of literature to help us understand and overcome our own unique challenges. His favorite authors include Dante, Evelyn Waugh, Fyodor Dostoevsky, TS Eliot, and above all, Shakespeare. When not teaching humanities classes or writing about early modern literature, Kevin enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, Margaret, exercising, watching movies, scavenging used bookstores, and marveling at life’s follies, even as he hopes that divine grace will help him reform his own.
